Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes (QISL), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), is greatly honored to organize the 36ICSC under the auspices of Chinese Chemical Society and IUPAC. The 36ICSC will bring the global scientists together to provide an up-to-date discussion in the field of solution chemistry.
QISL, founded in 1965, focuses on basic, applied, and high-tech research in geoscience, chemistry, and chemical engineering of salt lakes and related fields. QISL has devoted to salt-lake resource exploration, especially developing advanced techniques on potassium and lithium extraction. QISL has also performed various research on solubility, thermodynamics, solution structure, and solid-liquid equilibrium of electrolyte aqueous solution in recent decades since solution chemistry is the crucial basis for salt-lake resource exploration.
Xining, a host city, is the provincial capital of Qinghai Province and situated on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Xining is the largest city of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with population of 2.3 million. Called as “Summer Capital”, Xining is famous because of its cool and comfortable summer to attract lots of domestic and international visitors every year.

Scientific Sessions:
This conference includes parallel oral sessions consisting of plenary lectures (45 min), Keynote lectures (35 min), invited lectures (25 min) and regular oral presentations (20 min) as well as poster sessions (the evaluated top 10% posters will be awarded).
Preeminent Youth Forum with 7 oral presentations (25 min) will welcome outstanding young scientists or PhD students around 35 years old (all the speakers will be certificated and the top 3 speakers will be awarded).

Instructions for Abstracts Preparation
All authors must submit their Abstracts (maximum 400 words, in one page) with the indication of the
corresponding author (please provide full postal and e-mail addresses) electronically in PDF format before the submission deadline. Abstracts must be written in English. Details about the abstract preparation guide can be found on the web site http://icsc2019.csp.escience.cn .
Special issue in journals
The conference is being held under the auspices of the IUPAC. Thus, plenary and invited talks at the conference will be published in the official IUPAC journal Pure & Applied Chemistry. High-quality English paper for all the attendees will be considered by Journal of solution chemistry with a special conference issue.
A special issue for this conference will be published in Journal of Salt Lake Research, a high-impact journal in salt lakes and salt-industry research issued by QISL, CAS. English manuscripts are encouraged while paper write in Chinese is also welcome. Please visit the conference website to get more detailed information.
Submission of Abstracts or papers
Abstracts should be submitted online (http://icsc2019.csp.escience.cn), No Later than JUN. 1st, 2019 which is a deadline for full paper submission to be including into the printed Proceeding and USB disk so as to distribute at the symposium.
Registration Fee
The registration fee is 2500CNY (365 USD) for early registration (before Jun 1st, 2019) and 3000CNY (435USD) for late registration (after Jun 1st, 2019). The registration fee includes one copy of the symposium proceedings, banquet, meals, and coffee breaks. The fee for student is 1500 CNY (220 USD) (if accompanied by paid advisor). The fee for each accompanying visitor is 1400 CNY (200 USD), including meals and banquet.

Please apply early, as the meeting may become oversubscribed (over the max capacity of the auditorium) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here.
Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the conference chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.
Conference Language
The working language of the conference is English which will be used for all the presentations and printed materials.
Exhibition
Limited exhibition space in the lobby of the symposium hall is provided for products, equipment and advertising materials relevant to the topic of the symposium.
